About Us

My photo
Salem AntiWar
Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States
We are a group of Salem students who believe: Democracy comes through self-determination, not war; no nation can liberate another; that defense funding can and should be put to better use for education and job creation; that the US presence in both Iraq and Afghanistan is not benevolent but imperialistic, and that the policies of the American government will above all else, put profits ahead of justice and that the war on terror is really a war on innocent civilians; the way to peace is justice. We demonstrate and educate. We will never commit acts of violence, but nor will we be passive. We promote solidarity with any group working for justice, equality, and peace.
